Greetings, I want
to thank you for visiting the Japan Chapter of the Association of
the United States Army (AUSA) website.
We are a proud
part of a vital National Association with over 100,000 members in
over 125 Chapters located throughout the world.
The Japan chapter
encompasses all of the country of Japan and we operate two
sub-chapters, one in Okinawa and the other in the Tokyo/Yokota Air
Force Base area. Our Chapter falls under the Pacific Region which
also includes Alaska, Hawaii and Korea.
AUSA is one of 35 Military, Veterans and Uniformed Services
Organizations that comprise The Military Coalition. The philosophy
of the Coalition is that by working collectively on issues of mutual
agreement, the member organizations then have the support of more
than 5.5 individuals. This total combined effort by the 35
organizational members lends tremendous weight and unanimity to
Congressional testimony. The Military Coalition has eight
Legislative Standing Committees which recommend issues, positions
and actions within their purview. AUSA has at least one
representative assigned to at least one Standing Committee. |

Locally, the Japan
Chapter is strong and growing. Our main office is located on Camp
Zama, Japan. The Chapter has over 240 individual members and over
45 corporate members. We have quarterly General Membership Meetings
at Camp Zama, host several golf tournaments at the award winning
Camp Zama Golf Club and participate in numerous fund raising
activities. Our Chapter has a viable Scholarship Financial Aid
Program, High School Junior Reserve Officer’s Training Corps (JROTC)
Program, and an Active Duty Soldier and Non-Commissioned Officer
(NCO) Awards Recognition Program. We support and participate in
many local events such as The Army Ball, Awards Recognition and
Retirement Ceremonies and Morale Welfare Recreation (MWR)
activities.
AUSA, “The Voice
for the Army “needs your support, whether it be Individual or by
Corporate Representation. For over 50 years, AUSA has fostered
public support of the Army’s role in National Security. In any
volunteer organization, it takes a “Team Effort” to accomplish the
mission and goals. The Japan Chapter, AUSA, appreciates your
interest in our organization and welcomes your support. Thanks for
visiting our web site and please take a moment to visit any of our
hyperlinks.
With Warmest
Regards
Jim Hewitt
